David Oliver MS, LPC, NCC

Counseling provides a cathartic experience with a trained listener that is confidential.  This process begins by selecting a therapist that you feel comfortable sharing  your thoughts and feelings with.

My focus is to develop a trusting and caring relationship where we can uncover the patterns that keep you stuck and help you find your way to lasting change.

I use evidence-based practices and strategies designed to work at the heart of issues like anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts. I strive to provide you with a trusting, confidential place to explore your inner world, your mind, and live a fuller life. Get in touch to learn more.

 * The Linked PDF on this page is from Deborah Cabaniss, it can serve as a useful resource for understanding the therapeutic framework.

The Counseling Process

A trained listener can provide you with an opportunity for authentic self-discovery, trying on many hats, and then settle into a fuller way of being. It is ultimately a transformative process.

Individual Counseling

Life throws many surprises at us and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. With my counseling sessions you’ll learn about acceptance and how to exert your power of choice over whatever life may present.

Adolescent Counseling

Close work alongside the adults in an adolescent's life helps empower them towards becoming skillful. For both caregiver and teen my job is to give you the tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. After several sessions, you will become confident at handling issues whenever and wherever they arise.
